Research Interests
Paleorecords of long-range transported dust, Asian dust paleorecords in the North Pacific areas during late Quaternary, Quaternary paleoclimates in East Asia and the North Pacific areas, atmospheric nutrient deposition, biogeochemistry in subtropical montane bog systems.

Current Projects
1) Reconstructing the late Quaternary history of Asian dust accumulation rates from montane peat bog deposits (the Kohala mountain, Hawaii). 2) Interpreting temporal relationships between Hawaiian paleodust records and relevant climate changes.
